Our Story
In January 2019, three families started meeting in the Hampton Inn here in Wytheville, praying that God would use them to start a church where ordinary people would be welcomed and lives could be changed. Two months later, in March, Restoration Church officially launched at the Wytheville Meeting Center.
When COVID shut everything down in 2020, we began meeting at Rural Retreat Lake until June 2020 when we began meeting at our current location, renting the building while we continued to grow. In August 2025, our congregation purchased the building outright—a big answer to prayer—and today we’re seeing record attendance and God at work in amazing ways.
From day one, our heart has been the same: to be a place where anyone can walk through the doors, hear God’s Word, and find real hope in Jesus.

Our Mission & Beliefs
At Restoration Church, our mission is to follow Jesus together by creating a welcoming space where everyone can experience God’s love. We are committed to nurturing faith, fostering authentic relationships, and serving our Wytheville community with compassion and hope.
We believe in the transforming power of God’s Word and the importance of prayer, worship, and fellowship. Our core values are rooted in the teachings of the Bible, encouraging us to grow spiritually, support one another, and reach out to those in need. Whether you’re seeking answers or looking for a place to belong, you are warmly invited to join us on this journey of faith.
The Bible: We believe the Bible is the perfect and complete Word of God.
God: We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and that humanity was created with a need to have a personal relationship with Him.
Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of Christ, the humanity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Salvation: (1) We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, (2) that people are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and (3) that only by God’s grace and through faith in Jesus Christ alone are we saved.
Heaven & Hell: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
The Holy Spirit: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Gender & Marriage: We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Consequently, the rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning, which is marriage sanctioned by God that joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.
Forgiveness: We believe God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin and seek His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Sanctity of Life: We believde that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.
